However, the application success rate — the proportion of busi- nesses that approached angel organizations that raised funding — was lower or the same as in five of the pre- vious six years.

Comparing these figures on funding success in 2020 with previous years, once again suggests that raising fi- nance in 2020 was not distinctively different from the past (Table 5).
