Size of Organizations – Membership Numbers 2.5
T here is considerable diversity in the size of organi- zations, with membership ranging from 25 or less to more than 100 (Figure 5). However, the vast major- ity of organizations have more than 50 members: 52% have between 51 and 100 members, and 20% have over 100 members. This size distribution confirms the trend identified in previous reports which highlighted the in- crease in the proportion of larger organizations and the declining significance of small organizations (25 or few- er members).
