T he majority (76%) of angel organizations charge their investors membership fees (Figure 3). Mem- bership fees for individuals range from over $250 to over $1,000 per year, with eight organizations (50% of those that charge membership fees for individuals) charging in excess of $1,000. The remaining 24% of organizations do not charge fees. These include both established and
young organizations (less than five years old). The pro- portion of organizations that charge a membership has been rising year-on-year (54% in 2017; 65% in 2018; 71% in 2019). Just over half of the organizations (57%) that re- sponded to the survey extend membership to corporate entities. Corporate members are typically professional services firms (e.g, law, accounting) that may provide
