Responses were received from 29 angel organizations. The number of responses is slightly lower compared with the 2019 and 2018 reports (30 and 32, respectively). Of the 29 angel organizations that responded in 2020, 24 had made investments. In 2019, 25 of the 30 angel orga- nizations that responded had made investments. While there may be variation from year to year in the number of angel organizations reporting, this is a reflection of the ebb and flow of the angel community and the health of the ecosystem. Table 1 presents a profile of the age and size of the 29 angel organizations that participated in the 2020 survey. It highlights the continuing maturity of angel activity in Canada, with an increase in the median age from nine in 2019 to ten years old in 2020. The average (mean) age was the same in 2020 as in 2019 (nine years old) but higher than in 2018 (seven years old).
