Targeted government support for angel activity can help mobilize capital and resources for entrepreneurs and amplify the impact of business incubator/acceler- ator programming and non-dilutive government grant programs. Angel activity drives job creation and local prosperity, as evidenced by the work of Northern Ontar- io Angels, a NACO member organization that has been instrumental in activating $600 million into local start- ups, protecting 5,095 jobs and keeping young people in our northern communities. Northern Ontario Angels is supported both by FedNor, the federal regional devel- opment agency and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), an agency of the Government of Ontario.
