Cheekbone Beauty is an Indigenous-owned and found- ed cosmetics company established in 2016. Based out of St. Catharines, Ontario, Cheekbone Beauty is known for creating high-quality, cruelty-free beauty products such as liquid lipsticks and complexion products includ- ing contour and highlight palettes. In 2019, Raven Indig- enous Capital Partners announced an investment into Cheekbone Beauty Cosmetics. Raven Indigenous Cap- ital Partners invests in Indigenous social enterprise and their purpose is to facilitate the flow of capital through impact investing and to support the ongoing revitaliza- tion of the Indigenous economy in Canada. In 2020 Cheekbone Beauty launched a less-waste line of lipsticks in 2020, called SUSTAIN, with zero-waste goals for 2023. Cheekbone aims not only to make a dif- ference in the lives of Indigenous youth through dona- tions addressing the educational funding gap but is cre- ating a space in the beauty industry where Indigenous youth are represented.
