Member Spotlight P elorus Venture was founded in 2015 based on the principle of building the Atlantic Canadian ecosys- tem. Pelorus is a Venture Capital Fund manager focused on Atlantic Canada and currently manages Venture Newfoundland and Labrador LP that invests in pre- seed-stage companies. Pelorus created and closed the Venture Newfoundland and Labrador LP private venture capital fund along with the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, BDC Cap-
ital Inc. and angel investors. The goal of the fund is to invest in and partner with entrepreneurs with innovative technologies, to help commercialize their products and services and grow their companies while providing ven- ture returns for the investors. The Pelorus team has worked together in early-stage seed investment for over nine years bringing another voice to the Atlantic Canadian venture capital com- munity.
