In 2022, Toronto based accessibility platform Fable raised $13.4 million to make inclusive product development the status quo for digital teams. OCI’s Market Readiness Co-Investment Fund previously funded Fable with $125k in initial pre-seed investment to build out its customer pipeline, making it possible to test digital products alongside persons with disabilities.
Since 2018, Fable has been helping enterprises build accessible user experiences by engaging people with disabilities throughout the product development cycle. "By bringing feedback from people with lived experience into the product development process, we are helping product teams build products that work for everyone," says Fable's Co-Founder and CEO Alwar Pillai.
