As a result of Central Canada’s declining share of investment activity, it has, for the first time, been overtaken by Western Canada when investment ac- tivity is measured in terms of number of investments calculated on a per-capita basis and by Atlantic Canada when investment activity measured in terms of the amount invested (Table 7). Northern Canada actually has the highest level of investment activity measured by number of deals on a per-capita basis, albeit involving just a handful of investments.
