C arbonhound is led by CEO, Sanders Lazier and CTO, Kyri Vanguard. They are both first-time found- ers, but with a depth of experience in growing software companies and teams. Sanders has a background in sales and business development, with experience at Salesforce, Goodlord (raised $36 million) and Octopus, where he led the strategy and build-out of a digital dis- tribution platform for Octopus Investments (£7 billion AUM.) Kyri is a software engineer and AI specialist, with experience at multiple startups, including Intersect, Lane (acquired by VTS for $200 million) and Crowdriff.
We first met the team in early 2022 and worked with them when they were accepted into Finance Montreal’s Station Fintech accelerator program. We were immedi- ately impressed with the focus and drive of the founders and the mission of the company.
