Online pitches are seen to have several benefits: • Saves investors’ time. • Reduces the time burden on entrepreneurs of ear- ly-stage companies. • Removes the winter travel challenges, especially for organizations with large geographical operating ter- ritories. • Increases the number of investment opportunities by removing geographical constraints on where the businesses that are pitching are based. The main downside of online events is that they are less effective for networking which is one of the reasons why angels join angel organizations. As one respondent commented, “networking is something that cannot be replicated online.”
