COVID-19 Legacy Effects 4.2

A ngel organizations were asked whether they have reverted to their pre-COVID methods of operation or have retained any of the changes they introduced in 2020. Responses were mixed. A few organizations have reverted back to their pre- COVID methods of operation, some have retained the changes that they introduced in 2020 and operate ex- clusively online, including angel organizations that start- ed during COVID-19, but the majority of organizations now have hybrid models of operation, comprising a mix

of online and in-person meetings, notably online pitch events but also interactions with entrepreneurs such as screening, information gathering, and member engage- ment. For example, one angel organization reported that it started quarterly online meetings for its investors to provide updates on the companies that had pitched and market discussions which had been judged to be very successful, attracting high membership participation.
