V olta is Atlantic Canada's premier innovation hub, located in the heart of Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was founded in 2013 by four passionate individuals who wanted to create a place where tech founders could build and grow their companies with the resources and mentorship they wished for during the early stages of their tech startups. Ten years later, Volta is one of Can- ada's largest innovation hubs, enabling new technology companies within Atlantic Canada to work, learn, and connect. Volta’s residency program has supported over 150 teams ranging from ocean technology and health innovation to enterprise solutions and marketplaces.
Collectively, Volta's resident and alumni companies have raised over $400 million in equity financing and have created over 3,500 full-time jobs.
